Features

The Soundlink from Bose comes with a combination of TriPort and Active EQ technology, which ensures natural top sound at any volume. With several buttons on the headphones, you can easily adjust the volume, select the song and switch between calls and music without having to take out your smartphone, which is particularly useful for sports. It is also very practical that you can establish a connection between two Bluetooth-enabled devices at the same time. So if you watch a movie on your laptop, for example, and get a call on your mobile phone, you can easily switch between the two devices and the movie is automatically paused. The Bose Soundlink was also made of very robust, shock-resistant and particularly light materials, which is very important for sports. An integrated microphone for calls was built in, which is nice: the amplified sidetone means that calls are reproduced very clearly. These headphones from Bose cannot be folded up, but you can "fold them up", i.e. screw in the ear cups, which also makes them a bit smaller. The Bose Soundlink can also be used with a conventional 3.5mm cable, should the battery run out.

Handling

The battery life is relatively good at 15 hours, which is nothing special for an over-ear device, but you can get along very well with this battery life. The processing quality is very high quality and robust, which is particularly noticeable with this model: It is particularly light for an over-ear. Competing products are significantly heavier and some smaller on-ears are also heavier than the Soundlink - this lightweight is very comfortable and handy, especially when doing sports. Nevertheless, it takes up a lot of space because it cannot be folded up, but only twisted in, but that should only really bother very few, since you usually have a bag with you when you do sports. Operation via the buttons works great and switching between two devices works very quickly and without waiting times. If the battery runs out, you can also use the headphones with a cable, so that the sound is a tad better, as we think.

Comfort

The Soundlink is very comfortable to wear. The fine padding hugs the head very well and makes longer wearing times possible. As I said, you especially notice the light weight, for an over-ear this model weighs very little at 195 grams. This is very noticeable when doing sport, normally you can feel an over-ear very clearly on your head, but this model is pleasantly light. The workmanship is good and there are no defects, the over-ear fits very well and is made of durable materials, which makes it particularly robust and stable.

Sound

The sound quality is outstanding. As with most models in this price range, no defects can be found. Crystal clear highs and a pleasantly full, not too dominant bass ensure a well-rounded and balanced sound experience. People for whom good sound is very important for headphones, even when doing sports, should get hold of this and get a top model. The shielding from external noises is exemplary and you can concentrate fully on the music. The only small point of criticism: When used with a cable, the sound is a little bit better than with Bluetooth, but this is quite normal with Bluetooth headphones.

Bose Soundlink - the conclusion

Best over-ear for sports applications with great sound. Due to the very light weight, this over ear clearly stands out from the competition and makes it the best over ear headphones for sports applications with a relatively good price-performance ratio. If you want more in terms of sound and are looking for lightweight and sturdy headphones, you should grab it here and you will certainly be delighted.
